Where Has Everyone Gone?

19 March, 2004 | 10 Comments

So it's Friday night, just after ten, I pop out to the shops and there's just no-one about. The bar at the end of my road which would be packed every other Friday night of the year is barely half-full, and its customers mainly men; the restaurants on the Common are empty. Why?

The only reason I can think of is that tonight is the last ever episode of Sex And The City.

So it's Tuesday afternoon, just after five, I pop in to the office to check my email and there's just no new postings. The paragraph at the top of my screen which would be packed every other Tuesday afternoon of the year with new and lively information is exactly the same as last week, and the week before that... The only reason I can think of is that James is very very busy...?
