WRITERS
Stacey Warkham and Chris Allan
|
Stacey Warkham and Chris Allan have been working together as a writing pair for the last sixteen months since they met on a comedy course run out of a pub basement in Hackney. Since then they have written jokes for Barrymore, An Audience with Freddie Starr and The Eleven O'Clock Show. As well as a soon to be successful career as light-entertainment gag writers, Stacey and Chris are developing a pilot for a sketch/sitcom show, or 'skit-com', based on the live music and comedy act they developed last year at The Grace Theatre in Battersea: Warkham and Allan Take The Bus. Stacey and Chris also share a love for woodwork (which they use to their advantage as they run a furniture repair shop on Leytonstone High Road in East London) and also a love for each other, which lead to their marriage in November of last year. Stacey and Chris have a two-month old daughter, Suzy (named after Suzi Quatro). Proposals: No Time Like The Present! They can be contacted at staceywarkham@hotmail.com. |

David Alan Brogdan was born on December 25th, 1961, and has been writing 'comedy' full-time since 1979 when he started as a junior writer/researcher on Gordon's A-Live, Thames TV's ground-breaking live 'comedy' 'set-up' show hosted by Hannah Gordon (Producer: Mick Teagle). Brogdan has written extensively for 'TV' and 'radio' and his 'credits' can be found on many of the most 'successful' comedy shows of the last twenty years such as Where Have All The Flowers Gone? (BBC Radio 4, 1981; Producer: Joseph Hines), Am I On Yet? (TV South, 1980 - 1983; Producer: Sally Carter-Young), The Boy's Bumper Book of Jokes (BBC Radio 4, 1985; Producer: Chris Hale), The 'A' Show (Yorkshire Television, 1986; Producer: Mick Teagle), Four and One Makes Five: A 'Collins Gang' Re-union Special (Yorkshire Television, 1990; Producer: Mick Teagle), We'll 'Meat' Again (BBC Radio Essex, 1990; Producer: Mick Teagle), Here's Where The Flowers Are (BBC Radio 4, 1992; Producer: Joseph Hines) and Greased for Easy Access (Granada Plus, 1997; Producer: Steven Handsome - NOT a gay show). Brogdan has also written and produced seven series of his own one-man radio show The Brogdan Report (1992-97) simultaneously broadcast on GLR and BBC Radio Essex, and is currently in negotiation to produce a TV version to be broadcast on the God Channel sometime in 2001. Although he is not a gay, Brogdan was priviledged to be a long-time friend of gay comedy legend Frankie Howard, and 'finessed' many of his later 'live' shows. He is also a committed Christian and collector of rare and vintage Coca-Cola memorabilia. Elizabeth was born and raised in Chelsea, south west London, being privleged to experience life on the "swinging" King's Road as it really was. She attended the Lycee in South Kensignton and started her working life as a PA in the insurance industry, moving across to financial services and marketing, where she finally found herself managing the affairs of several major executives (sometimes quite literally - like many men of that time, they were sexually frustrated and morally corrupt). She has two children, Moira and Jennifer, product of a marriage to Arthur Nicholson (deceased). She still lives in Chelsea. Proposals: Willow Brook Farm, Michael Foot MP, Vernon's Stationary, You're Not The Man I Married. She can be contacted via liz@chezmoi.co.uk |

Max O'Donnell is the writing name under which Alex Smith writes his projects. Max was 'born' in 1997, when Alex (me) decided to start writing in addition to his (my) job in the care industry. So far Max (Alex) has had, little success but that is destined to change on or about the near future - perhaps with Flouncers! Alex (Max) enjoys a range of the usual interests, from cinema and theatre to books and the leather/rubber/fetish scene. Both Alex and Max (!) are currently single, and hoping to remedy this in the near future. If there are any actors reading this, perhaps you might like to be in ' Flouncers' and we could see about having a relationship. Alex lives in South East London, (Forest Hill) and works in the care industry. He owns his own flat which he shares with four very demanding cats! (Must like cats) . A sense of humour is essential. Both Alex and his writing alter-ego Max are very grateful to anyone who might feel they could take the time to read his proposal for a sitcom, ' Flouncers'. Proposals: Flouncers. He can be contacted via alexsmith@another.co.uk |
